Integrated Building Energy and Control Systems

UTRC is a leader in modeling, simulation and verification of high performance building systems to enhance building energy efficiency and to provide superior levels of comfort and safety to the occupants. Our research focuses on studying the thermal and control-enabled integration of the building envelope, the equipment, sensors, automation systems and communication networks associated with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), on-site power, elevators, security and fire safety in buildings.
