SYSTEMS

The Systems Department focuses its efforts in advancing technologies to support the design of large scale, heterogeneous systems. Researchers in the Systems Department use a multidisciplinary approach which brings together a multitude of technology areas such as mechanical, chemical, thermal, electrical and controls engineering. The purpose is to discover system interactions as well as flows of energy and information.

The department embraces virtual engineering and design as a way to handle complexity, and relies on the analytical depth of its mathematics scientists to address problem solving and computational challenges.
