UTRC China was established in May 1997 and was the first wholly foreign-owned research and development enterprise in China focused solely on research.

It has evolved to a world-class research center advancing technologies that serve integrated energy, environment, and control systems in support of the businesses of United Technologies.

UTRC China has grown to more than 40 full-time employees and is building core capabilities in physics-based modeling.
