Research Center supports East Hartford students with $10,000 gift

EAST HARTFORD, Connecticut – UTRC recently provided the East Hartford School/Business Partnership (EHSBP) with $10,000 to support science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculums within the East Hartford school system.

Much of this funding, according to Penny Brice, School/Business Partnership Community Coordinator, will be used during the 2015-2016 academic year to underwrite the cost of developing special programs specifically designed to provide exposure to, and build student interest in, STEM career paths and higher educational opportunities.

"UTRC's investment in the EHSBP enables us to continue performing our work of developing schools that are the pride of the East Hartford community," said Brice.
