UTRC Ireland Presents Technical Paper at International Power Electronics Conference

GENEVA, Switzerland – Dr. Francisco Gonzalez-Espin and Dr. Daniel Diaz-Lopez of the United Technologies Research Centre Ireland office presented a technical paper at the 17th Conference on Power Electronics and applications, EPE'15-ECCE Europe, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, Sept. 8-10.

The paper, titled, "Low-frequency reduced-order modeling approach and implementation of grid emulation in hardware-in-the-loop platforms," was presented Sept. 10, as part of the show's Dialogue Session 3, "Grids and Smart Grids." It was one of nearly 650 papers accepted through a rigorous peer-review process.

In addition, Gonzalez-Espin and Diaz-Lopez hosted a booth on the conference floor showcasing UTRC Ireland's technical capabilities, focusing on expertise in power electronics.

EPE-ECCE Europe is considered the premier show in the power electronics field and attracts the world's foremost technical contributors from industry, academia and research centers.

During the three-day annual conference, participants have an opportunity to present and learn about the latest research results during morning lecture sessions and afternoon dialogue sessions.
