UTRC provides Stanford Scholarship support

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 8, 2012 – United Technologies Research Center, the central research organization of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), today announces a $500,000 gift to Stanford University's School of Engineering to establish an endowed fellowship in aerospace systems.

The contribution follows a previously funded fellowship of $500,000 established at Stanford's School of Engineering by UTRC to focus on sustainable energy research activities. The fellowships exemplify the Research Center's commitment to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives across the globe.

"This support enhances our relationship with one of the world's top universities in advancing what's possible," he added.

The fellowship for aerospace systems will be directed to support graduate students and was formally executed just prior to the end of 2011.
